INTTRA, TRADEVISION ALLIANCE INTEGRATES AIR, OCEAN SERVICES

Tradevision, a provider of EDI and communication services for air cargo management, has formed an alliance with INTTRA, an ocean freight business-to-business service provider, to integrate the companies' air and ocean services.

The alliance will allow the more than 700 freight forwarders using Tradevision's services to connect directly with INTTRA's ocean transportation network infrastructure, regardless of in-house systems, protocols or formats. Tradevision offers a network of more than 100 air cargo providers.

Tradevision's logistics management system, LogiMan, will allow its forwarder customers to monitor shipments across air and sea. The company's network of small and mid-sized logistics service providers to send and receive container-related messages, including bookings, track-and-trace, and other air cargo information.

INTTRA, which is owned by a consortium of ocean carriers, is one of three carrier-led portal companies. It recently signed Kuehne & Nagel International AG, a Swiss global logistics service provider and one of the world's largest ocean freight forwarders, to provide integration with its carrier partners and to provide shippers with Web access to K&N's full-containerload shipment services.

INTTRA’s ocean carrier members include Maersk Sealand, Hapag-Lloyd, Mediterranean Shipping Co., Hamburg Sud, CMA CGM, P&O Nedlloyd, Columbus Line, Crowley American Transport Line, Safmarine Container Lines N.V., ANL, and Alianca.
