Lykes adds U.S. Gulf/Venezuela/Brazil service
Lykes Lines will start another direct service connecting the U.S. Gulf, the Caribbean and the East Coast South America at the end of June.
The fortnightly service will include a direct call at the little-known port of Vila do Conde, in Brazil.
It will have a port rotation of Houston, New Orleans, Caucedo (Dominican Republic), Puerto Cabello (Venezuela), Imbituba, Santos, Vitoria, Salvador and Vila do Conde (all in Brazil), Puerto Cabello, Cartagena (Colombia), and Houston.
The “U.S. Gulf-Brazil” service, operating with three ships of about 1700 TEUs, will start northbound from Imbituba June 27 and southbound from Houston June 30.
