Seaboard Marine sponsoring Dominican trade mission

Seaboard Marine is sponsoring a trade mission in Miami Dec. 5 that will focus on inbound trade from the Dominican Republic.

The event is being conducted in conjunction with the Florida Foreign Trade Association and its Trade-USA program. The program uses inbound trade missions to promote trade between foreign countries and the U.S. It includes a series of 'matchmaking' appointments with local businesses that want to sell their products to foreign buyers.

There will also be a meeting at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Miami, with two featured speakers talking about the benefits available from Dominican Republic-Central America Free Trade Agreement. The speakers are Dennis Simmons, commercial attach' for the Caribbean Region at the U.S. Embassy in Santo Domingo, and William Mallamuh, executive vice president of the Dominican-American Chamber of Commerce.

Seaboard said more than 20 Dominican companies that import good into the U.S. have registered for the event.
