UNITED CARGO TO IMPLEMENT FUEL SURCHARGE

   United Cargo will assess a fuel surcharge of 5 cents per kilogram for shipments from the United States to international destinations, and 2 cents per pound for shipments within the United States, effective April 19.

   For shipments originating outside the United States, the applicable feels will be based on the local currency equivalent.

   American Airlines Cargo and Lanchile Cargo have recently announced similar surcharges to cover the rising costs of fuel.
