CMA CGM EXTENDS PACIFIC SERVICE TO VANCOUVER
CMA CGM, the French container shipping line, will extend its TPX transpacific service to Vancouver, British Columbia.
The carrier also confirmed that it will split its Mediterranean/Asia/U.S. West Coast/Asia/Mediterranean “pendulum” service, of which the TPX service is a part, into two independent services.
The revised TPX service will cover the trade between Asia and the U.S. and Canadian west coasts from January, subject to approval by the U.S. Federal Maritime Commission.
It will use five ships and have a rotation of Shanghai, Xiamen, Yantian, Hong Kong, Busan, Los Angeles, Vancouver and Busan.
