Retail group studies container seal security
The Retail Industry Leaders Association said late last month it has created a subcommittee to develop a set of best practices for preventing tampering with container seals.
The subcommittee is chaired by John Joseph of Limited Logistics Services. The subcommittee will meet April 27-28 to begin developing a container seal best practices document with the help of the KPMG consulting firm.
The handbook will be used as a practical guide for retail members of the trade group as well as a position paper for Congress and the administration.
