PORT OF MARSEILLES CONSIDERS TERMINAL CONCESSIONS
The Port of Marseilles Authority’s board will meet on Friday to consider bids made by terminal operators for concessions at the French port’s new container terminal, Fos 2XL.
The port has confirmed receiving proposals from three bidders, but has not disclosed their identity.
The Port of Marseilles Authority’s board will respond to the bids after reviewing information presented and compiled in initial discussions with the concession candidates.
In a separate development, Claude Cardella, chairman of the Marseilles Chamber of Commerce, has been elected chairman of the Port of Marseilles Authority. Cardella held this position at the port from 1999 to 2001. He will succeed Jacques Truau, who has reached the compulsory age limit.
