New hires and promotions take place from California to Florida.
The Agriculture Transportation Coalition (AgTC) has brought on Spencer Young as program manager.
She previously worked as a ship agent for Inchcape in the San Francisco Bay area. Her family has been producing table grapes and citrus in California for several generations.
Crowley Maritime Corp. has appointed Parker Harrison (pictured) to the company’s leadership team as senior vice president of procurement and risk management, effective Jan. 1.
Harrison, former vice president of procurement, will continue to be based at the company’s headquarters in Jacksonville, Fla., and now will report to Bill Pennella, vice chairman and executive vice president.
She will work closely across all of Crowley’s business units to strategically align risk management functions and will be responsible for the company’s global insurance program.
Harrison, president of the U.S. chapter of the Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association, joined Crowley in 2013 from Shipowners Claims Bureau.
Dunavant, a Memphis, Tenn.-based global logistics firm, has announced three leadership hires.
Mike Williams has joined the senior leadership team as executive vice president of Dunavant Global Logistics Group.
Williams has more than 20 years of logistics and transportation experience, including four years with Williams-Sonoma as director of parcel transportation. He also was the controller for AutoZone’s supply chain division and senior vice president and COO of Green Mountain Technology.
Dunavant has hired Clayton Fahey as senior vice president of operations. Based in Dunavant’s Houston office, Fahey will be responsible for all drayage operations west of the Mississippi River.
He most recently served as vice president of business development at Jacobson Warehousing and XPO Logistics.
Chelsea Cravens has been hired as director of global operations. She will oversee logistics operations from the Memphis headquarters.
Cravens most recently managed operations for IMC Global Solutions LLC.
Dunavant also announced that Don Lake has been promoted to senior vice president of enterprise development and David Underwood has been promoted to senior vice president of logistics operations.
