Bonner visits C-TPAT training seminar
U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Robert Bonner, speaking at a Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism training seminar in Miami Thursday, repeated his intention to offer “green lane” benefits to the top tier of shippers employing the highest level of security practices.
According to a CBP news release, he stuck to the same concept he outlined at the Customs Trade Symposium in January, namely that program participants who use best industry practices such as tamper-evident container seals will not be subject to routine inspections.
