ANZDL EXPANDS ONLINE TRANSACTION SERVICES
Australia-New Zealand Direct Line said it has added online shipping instructions and invoices to its Web-based transaction processing solution.
ANZDL said that the two added transactions allows the carrier to process online the eight general steps required to move a container.
The carrier created a shipping instructions application for small to mid-sized shippers who do not produce their own templates. ANZDL gives three template options, including creating new instructions, loading instructions from an existing template, or auto-filling instructions directly from the booking application. Shipping instructions are required for delivery and payment information. Once the instructions are completed and approved by the shipper, they are automatically distributed to the appropriate ANZDL documentation department, and an e-mail confirmation is instantly sent to the user.
For invoices, ANZDL will initially provide service for prepaid invoices only, but will expand it to consignees.
The online freight invoices work the same as ANZDL's bill of lading service. The shipper is notified that their documentation is available for printing via e-mail so they click on the link and once their password is entered, they are given direct access to their bill of lading and invoice.
