ETRACKCARGO.COM LAUNCHES ONLINE AIR WAYBILL TRACKING
After a successful pilot program with Magnum Freight, eTrackCargo.com has released eTrackCargo.comPLUS, an EDI Airline Interface, to its subscribers.
The service allows participating subscribers to electronically interface with cargo airlines to submit online air waybills (AWB) and receive automatic updates to the tracking information. The company's clients include 79 subscribing offices worldwide.
“What we have created is an online AWB that also includes an automated e-mail updating service, thus eliminating the need to call the airline to receive shipment updates,” the company said.
To use the service, forwarders must be eTrackCargo.com subscribers and have an IATA number. The electronic AWB service is an additional cost to the subscription.
