MIQ Logistics has opened a new facility in Laredo, Texas, to better serve customers’ cross-border supply chain needs.
Salvador “Sal” Beattie will manage MIQ’s Laredo operation.
“Businesses are considering near-sourcing strategies with Mexico as a way to lower their total landed costs, while making their supply chains more nimble,” said John Carr, MIQ’s president and chief executive officer, in a statement.
The MIQ facility at Laredo specializes in import and export management, including customs brokerage, clearance and duty consultancy.
