DHX to spin off air division
Southern California-based freight forwarder DHX has filed paperwork to spin its air cargo division into a separate subsidiary, said President Brad Dechter in an interview with American Shipper Thursday.
The new company would be called DAX (Dependable AirCargo Express) and would handle both international and domestic cargo.
DHX has other subsidiaries, primarily DGX (Dependable Global Express), which handles import freight and trucking firms in Hawaii, which is DHX’s core market.
Dechter said he believes DAX will be up and running in a few months.
