CBP Miami ready for ESAR
Customs and Border Protection Miami Service Port Acting Director Richard Vigna said Monday the local trade will see improvements in the functionality of CBP's Automated Commercial Environment when the new Entry Summary, Accounts, and Revenue A1 is implemented Aug. 26.
ESAR is the latest element in the evolution of ACE, which has offered Secure Data Portal accounts since 2004. But the new upgrade and application will provide new elements for ACE portal accounts, enhancing the system and provide improvements like requests for any additional portal account reviews, he said.
The system enhancement will impact operations along the supply chain for customs brokers, importers, carriers, bonded warehouses and information services companies, he noted.
