SOFTWARE MAKER OPTUM PLANS EUROPEAN EXPANSION
Optum Inc., a developer of warehouse and transportation management
software, has appointed Joe Viceroy as vice president of Europe, the
Mideast and Africa to help lead the company’s international expansion
efforts.
Based at Optum’s newly established European headquarters in Belgium,
Viceroy is responsible for building European-based direct sales, consulting
services and customer support capabilities.
Optum said it plans to create strategic partnerships with reseller and
consulting firms in Europe to expand business opportunities, initially
targeting Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands and United Kingdom.
The software company will build on business it has won from Avnet EMG
in Belgium and NCR Parts in the Netherlands.
