Raytheon Aircraft picks BAX as global logistics provider
BAX Global will provide global transportation and supply chain management services to Raytheon Aircraft under a five-year contract to support the production of Beechcraft and Hawker civil and military aircraft.
The Irvine, Calif.-based logistics company said it will manage inbound and outbound ocean shipments, including aircraft fuselages and wings from the United Kingdom to Raytheon’s base in Wichita, Kan. BAX will also coordinate inbound air freight shipments of parts and other products to support manufacturing and aircraft maintenance.
In addition to transportation services, BAX will help develop optimal freight strategies, handle carrier selection and contracts, claims management and freight bill auditing and reporting.
