LANPERU WANTS MORE U.S. FLIGHTS

   LanPeru, the new Peruvian airline owned by LanChile, has applied for
route rights to serve New York, Los Angeles, Santiago and Buenos Aires from its hub in
Lima.
   The new routes would mark a dramatic increase in the airline’s
international presence. LanPeru is waiting for U.S. regulators to approve
the carrier’s first international service — a flight from Lima to Miami.
