PHOENIX INTERNATIONAL EXPANDS IN NORTHERN MIDWEST

Phoenix International Freight Services, a Wood Dale, Ill.-based freight forwarder and customs broker, has expanded in the northern Midwest markets of Minnesota, Wisconsin and the Dakotas.

The company opened a new 18,000-square-foot office/warehouse in Minneapolis, which is equipped with the latest cargo handling and security features, such as video surveillance and motion sensors.

“Our bonded container freight station enables importers to receive their goods three-to-four days faster than their competitors, and at lower costs,” said Stephen Clark, general manager for Phoenix International in Minneapolis. The company will offer shippers direct, weekly ocean freight consolidations from the Far East to Minneapolis.

Prior to his new post, Clark served as Phoenix International’s route development manager in Japan.
