CKYH alliance starts Asia/eastern Med service
The “CKYH” alliance of COSCO Container Lines, “K” Line, Yang Ming and Hanjin Shipping is starting a weekly Asia to Egypt, Greece and Turkey service in late March.
The new “Aegean Sea Direct Express” service will use six ships of about 1,500 TEUs and call at Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Chiwan, Singapore, Port Said, Istanbul, Thessaloniki, Izmir, Singapore and back to Kaohsiung.
The vessel “Ming Sky” will start the “ADX” service when it departs from Kaohsiung on March 28.
The new service will see approximately 80,000 TEUs in annual one-way capacity added to the Asia/Mediterranean trade.
