COAC looks for regional meeting venue
The 20-member Advisory Committee on Commercial Operations of U.S. Customs and Border Protection will hold its three remaining quarterly meetings in May, September and December.
Meetings are typically held in Washington, but the committee expressed an interest in holding the September meeting at a major port city. Locations under consideration include Los Angeles, Miami, Seattle and Detroit.
Last September, COAC held its meeting in Buffalo, N.Y., a major gateway for trade with Canada.
