“K” LINE LAUNCHES 13th POST-PANAMAX CONTAINERSHIP

“K” Line has launched the last vessel in a series of 13 new 5,500-TEU containerships.

The “Genoa Bridge,” built by Imabari Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., has entered service in the carrier’s Europe/Asia/North America “pendulum” service.

“K” Line and its global alliance partner Yang Ming Marine Transport now deploy a total of 20 ships of 5,500-TEU capacity for their joint transpacific and Asia/Europe-Mediterranean services.

“Recently strong bookings have resulted in every vessel being full with cargoes mainly from Chinese ports,” “K” Line said.
