U.S.-Morocco free-trade agreement gets endorsement from trade committees

Representatives from 32 U.S. trade advisory committees endorsed President Bush’s proposed U.S.-Morocco free-trade agreement, and urged its “quick adoption and implementation.”

The committees comprise more than 750 appointed representatives from diverse backgrounds, including business, agriculture, labor, environmental and consumer groups, state and local governments, and universities.

The 2002 Trade Act requires these committees to prepare reports on proposed trade agreements for the administration and Congress.
