Bayonne authority looks for container terminal developers
The Bayonne Local Redevelopment Authority, in Bayonne, N.J., said it is seeking container terminal developers and operators interested in leasing a 150-acre site in the port of New York and New Jersey.
The site is located on the Port Jersey Channel at the former Military Ocean Terminal, which has been renamed “the peninsula,” at Bayonne Harbor.
The proposed terminal facility would be part of a mixed-use residential and commercial enclave planned for the 460-acre peninsula.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has issued a formal request for expressions of interest and is working in conjunction with the New Jersey Department of Transportation’s Office of Maritime Resources.
