FOREST LINES EXPANDS SOUTHERN U.K. LASH BARGE SERVICE
Forest Lines, a subsidiary of International Shipholding Corp., has expanded its LASH barge service to the Thames and Medway rivers in southern United Kingdom.
The river ports served are Tilbury, Sheerness, Northfleet, Chatham, Rochester, Rainham, Ridham and Gravesend. These ports had formerly been served by Forest Lines via the port of Felixstowe.
New Orleans-based Forest Lines operates two 83-LASH (lighter onboard ship) barge vessels in a regularly scheduled service between U.S. inland river, Gulf and South Atlantic ports to inland waterway and coastal ports in the United Kingdom and Northern Europe.
