FEDEX TRADE NETWORKS BUYS WORLDTARIFF
FedEx Trade Networks, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp., has bought World Tariff Ltd.
San Francisco-based WorldTariff is a publisher of customs duty and tax information from more than 100 countries, which account for about 95 percent of the world’s imports.
WorldTariff also does business in Europe under the name of Eurotariff and provides a customs duty database to the European Commission.
“The addition of this powerful information portfolio to FedEx Trade Networks is a significant step in our efforts to assist international shippers — from e-commerce start-ups to large corporations — with their global logistics requirements,” said G. Edmund Clark, president and chief executive officer of FedEx Trade Networks.
Scott Morse will remain publisher and president of WorldTariff, while Clark will be chairman of the WorldTariff board of directors.
WorldTariff joins FedEx’s recently acquisition of Tower Group International, a large U.S. customs broker and forwarder.
