P&O NEDLLOYD DEPLOYS 6,800-TEU SHIP

The P&O Nedlloyd Shackleton, the ocean carrier's fourth 6,800-TEU containership, is entering the China/Europe service.

The 300-meter-long, U.K.-flag vessel, built by Hyundai Heavy Industries in South Korea, set a record for being the largest container vessel ever to call at Shanghai.

The ship will be named today, for Sir Ernest Shackleton, the British polar explorer.
