FAMOUS PACIFIC SHIPPING APPOINTS GERMAN AGENT
Famous Pacific Shipping, the non-vessel-operating common carrier and freight services provider, has named Hamburg-based Emons-Impex Speditions GmbH as its agent in Germany.
Emons-Impex Speditions, part of the Emons Group, 'will enable our network to offer bigger and better business services to our customers throughout the huge German market, which also acts as a gateway to other parts of Europe,' said Benny Ling, chairman of Famous Pacific Shipping.
The German agent handles overseas movements of sea and air freight in Hamburg with a staff of 25, and operates a 2,500-square-meter warehouse there.
The Emons forwarding group, based in Cologn, has 900 staff employed at 17 branches throughout Germany, with additional staffing Switzerland and Italy.
