Humber terminal receives first ever deep-sea car carrier

A ship operated by Eukor Car Carriers carrying about 2,500 vehicles from Asia made the first ever deep-sea call for a vessel of its type at Humber Sea Terminal (HST), in the United Kingdom.

Eukor, established in 2002 by Wallenius Wilhelmsen, Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors, will call at the terminal on a regular basis, HST said.

HST was opened in 2000 and has four berths owned and operated by the Simon Group, handling approximately 40 sailings weekly. The terminal plans to add two more berths at a cost of '25 million ($44.6 million).
