Hanjin ending North Atlantic service

Hanjin told customers on Thursday that it will end its New Trans Atlantic (NTA) service between the U.S. East Coast and North Europe.
“This decision comes in light on continuing dismal market conditions, which do not support operational costs,” the Korean carrier said.
Other members of the CKYH alliance — Cosco, “K” Line and Yang Ming — will continue to operate the service.
Hanjin said it will leave the string with the sailing of Yang Ming Vancouver (0067E), which has an estimated date of departure from New York on May 14.
“Should NTA or a similar service be reinstated in the future, we hope to enjoy your support as we have in the past,” Hanjin said.
