EVA AIR ADDS B747-400 FREIGHTER

   EVA Air, Taiwan's second largest airline, will add a B747-400 freighter between Taipei and Los Angeles this week.

   EVA took delivery of the B747-400 from Boeing last week. The Taiwanese airline is scheduled to take delivery of two more in 2001 and 2002.

   EVA, whose cargo department accounts for 43 percent of the airline's $1.8 billion in sales, also will expand its transpacific freighter network to include service to Toronto in August.
