Four men put on Blocked Persons List

The Office of Foreign Assets Control prohibits U.S. residents from engaging in transactions with designated nationals.

The Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has published the names of four individuals who have been placed on its Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List.
Two natives of Turkey, Suleyman Soylu and Abdulhamit Gul, were named to the list “for being or having been a leader or official of Turkey’s Ministry of Interior, an entity that has engaged in, or whose members have engaged in, serious human rights abuse relating to the leader’s or official’s tenure,” according to the Federal Register.
Two Pakistani men, Abdul Jabbar and Hameed Hassan, were named to the list for acting for or on behalf of Lashkar-e Tayyiba, a person who has committed or threatened to commit or supported terrorism, the Federal Register said.
All property and interests in property subject to U.S. jurisdiction of these people are blocked, and U.S. residents generally are prohibited from engaging in transactions with them, according to OFAC.
