MCC names CEO, Maersk Line appoints South East Asia managing director, Port of New Orleans’ board of commissioners elects chairman, Deutsche Post DHL Group names labor director and board member for personnel, and Truckstop.com hires chief economist.

MCC Transport, Maersk Line, Port of New Orleans, Deutsche Post DHL Group, and Truckstop.com announce corporate appointments.
A.P. Moller-Maersk Group’s intra-Asia subsidiary line, MCC Transport, has named Bo Wegener chief executive officer, replacing Tim Wickmann, who is leaving the group later this year.
Wegener is currently Maersk Line’s South East Asia managing director, which will be filled by Rupesh Jain, currently Maersk Line’s South Korea Country Manager.
These changes will take effect Aug. 1.
The Port of New Orleans’ board of commissioners elected Robert Barkerding as chairman. Barkerding is succeeding Michael Kearney, who will continue to serve as a commissioner. Barkerding, who represents Jefferson Parish, joined the board in February 2013. He is president of Admiral Security Services and has over 50 years of experience working in the maritime industry.
The port’s board of commissioners also elected Laney Chouest as vice chairman and Arnold Baker as secretary-treasurer.
Deutsche Post DHL Group appointed Thomas Ogilvie as both labor director and a board member for personnel, effective Sept. 1. Ogilvie will take over both responsibilities from Melanie Kreis, who will focus on her role as group chief financial officer. Ogilvie joined Deutsche Post DHL Group in 2001, and was most recently executive vice president, corporate, development.
Truckstop.com has hired Noël Perry as chief economist. Perry has spent years as an independent consultant in the transportation and logistics industry, which he will continue to do. He is a managing partner is FTR Association, and has 30 years in senior research positions at Schneider National, Cummins Engine Company, and CSX.
