COSCO (HONG KONG) ORDERS FOUR BULK VESSELS
COSCO (Hong Kong) Shipping Co. Ltd. has ordered four Handymax bulk carriers from Onomichi Dockyard Co., Ltd. of Japan.
Each 52,000-ton ship will have four pairs of deck cranes and will have a speed of 14.5 knots.
The first two bulk barriers are expected to be delivered and put into operation by the first half of 2002, COSCO said.
COSCO (Hong Kong) Shipping Co. is a subsidiary of COSCO (Hong Kong) Group and owns, manages and operates nearly 100 vessels, totaling about 5 million tons in deadweight.
