INTTRA STARTS ONLINE SERVICES PROGRAM
INTTRA, the multi-carrier container shipping portal, said that it has launched a pilot program for track and trace and booking confirmation services for a controlled group of customers.
The program, launched in February, allows its customers to view container shipment-related events and booking confirmations under a secure system. The INTTRA Internet portal provides instant tracking of containers and bookings, multi-criteria search options, shipping details provided by the participating carriers, information flow between internal and external business parties and other transactions.
The container shipping lines that participate in INTTRA are P&O Nedlloyd, Mediterranean Shipping Co., CMA CGM, Hapag-Lloyd, Maersk Sealand and sister company Safmarine, and Hamburg Sud and its affiliates Columbus Line, Alianca and Crowley American Transport.
“We have the majority of our participating carriers integrated within the INTTRA portal,” says Mark From-Poulsen, chief executive of INTTRA. INTTRA, currently based in Virum, Denmark, expects the remaining carriers to be integrated soon.
The portal now aims to introduce additional online services at monthly intervals or every two months, including sailing schedules, container booking requests, exception management, activity plans, bill of lading information, event notifications, and reports and statistics summaries. The web site of the new portal is www.INTTRA.com.
