Amador named terminal director at Port of Olympia

   Washington state’s Port of Olympia has appointed Jim Amador marine terminal director. Amador replaces John Wolfe, who was promoted to Olympia’s port executive director in January.

   Amador joins the port after 24 years with the Port of Tacoma, another Washington state port, He was Tacoma’s operations superintendent at the Pier 7 breakbulk facility and container freight station.

   The Port of Olympia handles diverse breakbulk cargoes. Starting March 15, Amador will be responsible for the port’s planning, staffing, operation, security and maintenance. He will also oversee the operating and capital budgets.
