CMA CGM ship loses container overboard

CMA CGM said one of its ships, the 5,770-TEU Rossini, lost 14 containers overboard off Ushant at the southern entrance to the western English Channel on the night of Jan. 3.
The company-owned ship was sailing from Le Havre to Port Said in Egypt.
French maritime authorities were immediately notified, and the company said no dangerous goods were being  transported in the containers. There were no injuries, and no pollution has been reported.
Several damaged containers have been secured, and the ship is continuing its voyage to the Mediterranean.
