U.S./South Europe carriers reaffirm rate increases
Ocean carriers in the United States South Europe Conference (USSEC) have reaffirmed previously announced general tariff rate increases for westbound dry van and temperature-controlled containers, effective July 1.
The rate increases for both types will be $160 per 20-foot container and $200 per 40-45-foot container.
USSEC said it will release details pertaining to a second tariff rate increase, effective Oct. 1, closer to that date.
USSEC members are A.P. Moller-Maersk Sealand, Hapag Lloyd Container Linie GmbH, and P&O Nedlloyd Ltd. The conference is based in Crawley, West Sussex, in the United Kingdom.
