Qualcomm seeks customer input for tracking device

Wireless technology provider Qualcomm Inc. said major truckload carrier Celadon Group would offer advice on how to implement its technology for tracking trailers not connected to communications equipment in the cab.

Qualcomm, which put on hold its original analog untethered trailer-tracking device, is developing a dual mode modem that can transmit location and status messages on digital or analog networks. Celadon is one of several companies Qualcomm is recruiting for its management consortium.
