UNITED SERVICES TO HANDLE SAS CARGO AT HEATHROW
United Services, the airline support business of United Airlines Corp., has won a cargo-handling contract with Star Alliance partner SAS at London's Heathrow International Airport.
Under the contract, United Services employees will handle all aspects of SAS's import/export cargo handling at United's Cargo Centre at Heathrow Cargo Village. United Services provides similar duties for Iberia Airlines at Heathrow under a similar contract.
'Wherever we have available capacity around the world, we want to make sure our Star Alliance partners are able to benefit from what we offer,' said Garth Petersen, director-airport service, United Services.
