Song new head of HMM in North America
Hyundai Merchant Marine Co. on Thursday said Y.I. Song has been named the chairman and chief executive officer of its North American operations.
The Korean company’s subsidiaries in North America include: Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMMA), Hyundai America Shipping Agency Inc. (HASA), Hyundai Intermodal Inc. (HII), Washington United Terminals Inc., and California United Terminals Inc.
Song will retain his position as president of HASA. He succeeds Y.K. Kim, who returned to Korea as head of HMM’s global container activities.
