BA appoints Walsh CEO
British Airways has appointed Willie Walsh chief executive officer.
Irish-born Walsh, 43, joined Aer Lingus as a 17-year-old cadet pilot in 1979. He has been Aer Lingus’ CEO in 2001.
Walsh will take up his new post May 3. He replaces Rod Eddington, who is retiring at the end of September.
