USDA sets dairy import license fee at $150

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service has set its 2006 tariff-rate quota license for dairy imports at $150.

Licenses are issued on a calendar year basis, and each license authorizes the license holder to import a specified quantity and type of dairy product from a specified country of origin. The license fee helps the USDA cover its cost to administer the program.
