EXEL LOGISTICS REVAMPS BUSINESS GLOBALLY

Exel Logistics is changing its region-based organization
into one based on industry sectors managed globally.
The company, which has significant operations in the Americas, Europe
and Asia Pacific, has created a global structure around its five market sectors:
automotive, chemical, consumer, electronics and retail.
Mike Parish, former joint chief executive officer, Europe, will head up the development of
Exel Logistics’ industrial markets (automotive, chemical and electronics). Bruce Edwards,
former chief executive officer, Americas, will be in charge of the consumer, retail and
home delivery markets.
The new organization will enable a "faster transfer of best
practise around the world" and better global supply chain services, the company said.
All of Exel Logistics’ corporate functions, including information
technology, "solutions design," human resources, marketing, strategy, finance
and administration, are also being organized on a global basis.
As part of the reorganization, Richard Hunt, joint chief executive officer, Europe, is
leaving Exel Logistics.
