EC CLEARS MAERSK/ECT VENTURE
The European Commission has cleared a container terminal
joint venture in Egypt between Maersk Line and Rotterdam terminal operator Europe Combined
Terminals.
The joint venture will be responsible for building and managing a
container terminal in Port Said, Egypt.
The EC said that the transaction will not give rise to competition
concerns.
