FEDEX APPOINTS NEW SUPPLY CHAIN SERVICES LEADERSHIP

   FedEx Logistics Inc., the third-party logistics subsidiary of FedEx Corp., has made four key management appointments within the Supply Chain Services unit.

   Susan Hatchard Hough was named vice president of sales and marketing, Rebecca McClendon was named vice president of information technology, Rodney Miller was appointed vice president and general manager of international operations, And Douglas E. Witt was named vice president and general manager of eLogistics.

   Hough will be responsible for all global sales, marketing and communications functions and oversee the expansion of FedEx Logistics’ service portfolio. She was vice president of North America for Sea Land Logistics.

   McClendon, formerly vice president of merchandise systems and vice president of manufacturing for L.L. Bean Inc., is taking over day-to-day management of FedEx Supply Chain Services global IT operations. She was a principal in operations management for Kurt Salmon Associates for nine years.

   Miller fills a newly created position and is charged with aligning FedEx’s logistics solutions across geographic markets worldwide. He also will help plan expansion into new regions via acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances and other relationships, FedEx said. Miller was president of ACS Logistics, a subsidiary of APL Ltd.

   Witt will head FedEx’s newly created e-commerce division. He will also lead the integration of e-fulfillment and related information technologies across the FedEx Corp. family. Witt was vice president of product marketing and sales for Newark Electronics.
