COLUMBIA COASTAL ADDS FIVE BARGES TO FLEET
Columbia Coastal Transport LLC has added five barges, ranging from 224 to 630 TEUs capacity, to its container barge fleet.
The coastwise carrier purchased the barges from Hale Trans Inc. in Baltimore. The barges will be outfitted with new lashing gear and power packs for transporting reefer cargo.
The new barges are the 630-TEU Liberty Trader, the 520-TEU Baltimore Trader, and the 224-TEU New England Trader.
The company has operated for a decade and today serves 14 Atlantic and Gulf ports, as well as Freeport, Bahamas.
