FMC appoints Schroeder to administrative law judge
The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has appointed Irwin Schroeder to administrative law judge.
Schroeder replaces Frederick Dolan, who recently retired from the FMC.
Schroeder comes to the FMC from the Federal Mine Safety and Health Review Commission where he served as a judge for three years. Before that, he served as a judge with the Social Security Administration in Houston and Hartford, Conn., and earlier as regional counsel and assistant chief counsel for the Federal Highway Administration and as a trial lawyer for the U.S. Justice Department.
He is a vice president of the Federal Administrative Law Judges Conference.
