MEDITERRANEAN SHIPPING STARTS NEW MEXICO/WEST COAST SOUTH AMERICA SERVICE
Geneva-based Mediterranean Shipping Company has started its new weekly West Coast Mexico to West Coast South America service.
The “MSC Panama” was scheduled to depart from Manzanillo, Mexico on June 26.
The new service uses four ships of around 1,250 TEUs and calls at Manzanillo, Mexico; Buenaventura; Guayaquil; San Antonio; Iquique; Callao; Guayaquil; Buenaventura and Manzanillo.
The new intra-American West Coast service connects at Manzanillo with MSC recently extended Transpacific/U.S. East Coast pendulum service.
MSC also operates a joint service with P&O Nedlloyd from the U.S. East Coast to the West Coast of South America.
