CSX WORLD TERMINALS RENAMES TIANJIN FACILITY; DEPLOYS CRANES
CSX World Terminals has changed the name of its facility located in Tianjin, China, to CSX Orient (Tianjin) Container Terminals Co. Ltd.
The company said the name was changed, from Sea-Land Orient (Tianjin) Container Terminals Co. Ltd., to 'further strengthen the identification with the United States” headquartered terminal developer and operator.”
CSX recently deployed three post-Panamax gantry cranes in the Tianjin terminal. Manufactured by the Shanghai Shenhua Port Machinery Co. Ltd., the cranes provide an outreach of 18 containers wide, lifting height of 32 meters, and lifting weight of 50 tons.
CSX World Terminals LLC, based in Charlotte, N.C., is a wholly owned subsidiary of CSX Corp.
