Suzuki plans to double auto imports through Baltimore
Japanese automaker Suzuki plans to make more use of the Port of Baltimore for shipments into the U.S. market.
“We plan to double our number of imports into Baltimore from 25,000 to 50,000,” said Mike Gorman, regional Suzuki manager.
Suzuki’s first mid-sized cars to enter the U.S. market arrived in Baltimore on board the roll-on/roll-off vessel “Hual Trotter” Aug. 25. The shipment included 672 four-door Veronas bound for distribution to dealerships in the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.
